Meet Briana Benn-Mirandi
About Me
Hello! Nice to meet you! My name is Briana, and while my main therapeutic affiliation is with Art and Soul Art Therapy, LLC, I decided to make a separate page to highlight some of the skills and offerings I don't always incorporate in my other resumes. You can learn a great deal about me from my main bio here, which highlights my formal education and career accomplishments.

However, few among my professional connections know that I also have various trainings in indigenous spirituality and healing, as up until now, it was mainly a personal passion. I am:
* A student of Michael Harner's Foundation for Shamanic Studies.
* Trained as a Reiki Master Teacher (though this is not my main healing technique these days).
* A lifelong explorer of indigenous religions and spiritualities, and have attended workshops and classes with clergy, shamans, hippies, clairvoyants, folklorists, anthropologists, etc.
* Also an autodidact. I have always sought to further my understanding of mankind's connection to the greater universe via travel, connecting with new cultures, reading books, listening to podcasts, and exploring the wealth of knowledge stored on the internet.
Until now, much of my exploration has simply been a matter of personal fulfillment; a way to both ground myself and expand my understanding of what it means to be human in this complicated existence. In fact, I shied away from sharing this aspect of myself in professional realms, lest I be critiqued for not adhering solely to approaches to therapy that were all well-researched in academia with multiple peer-reviewed studies.
It fills my soul to see science catching up with spirituality, slowly but surely! Professional mental health trainings and techniques are evolving to incorporate the best that these fields have to offer, producing experiences that are proving to be safe, effective, replicable, and profound. Through Soul Voyage, in space specifically created for this type of work, I am able to combine my various educations into a comprehensive experience that works to heal psyche, spirit and body.
